Coast Guard and State Compliant?

The Power Squadron and Coast Guard Auxiliary have teamed up to provide a shared program of no cost, no risk, vessel safety inspections. You arrange for an examiner to visit your boat. They will take about a half-hour to review the required and recommended safety equipment, and verify compliance with rules about notices and documents. Learn more HERE…

St. Patrick’s Day Fun Facts!

Although the three-leaf clover is more common, shamrocks sometimes do grow a fourth leaf and are considered symbols of good luck when they do.

Wearing green on St. Patrick’s Day is a tradition that stems from the lore surrounding leprechauns. The little tricksters supposedly pinch anyone within sight, unless the person is wearing green, which makes them invisible to leprechauns.

In the 19th century, so many Irish babies were named after Saint Patrick that “Paddy” went from being a nickname for someone named Patrick to a name for any Irishman in general.

Leprechauns are commonly associated with St. Patrick’s Day; however, these fairy-type creatures come from Celtic folktales rather than Irish or Christian lore.

If you see something that just doesn’t look right, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the office, security, or any of our drivers or dockhands, or call 911. Communication within the Dagmars community is key to keeping our boater’s property as safe as possible.

Advertising your boat for sale by owner invites unwanted attention to the marina. Help us protect your boat and the boats of others by refraining from posting signs or advertising on social media the location of your boat.

Puget Sound summer salmon fishing will be here before you know it, and we have a bevy of seasoned anglers at Dagmars who would like to share their knowledge of the sport with you. If you are new to fishing, looking for some tips and tricks, or want to make this the year to teach your child or grandchild the thrill of having a “Fish, On!” we’d love to provide the opportunity for you to meet some Dagmars legends of the salmon fishing craft. Earn a free month’s moorage!

Just refer a new customer to Dagmars, and for each signed and paid customer who mentions your name, you will receive one free month’s moorage once they’ve arrived!

Current Proof of Insurance Required

Just a reminder, we’re required by Washington State law to have proof of insurance on file for all boats, RV’s, trailers, etc. that are stored on the premises. A minimum of $300,000 liability is required. Please verify you have a current copy on file with us, as well as a copy of registration or title. Please also confirm that the name on the policy matches or references the name of the Dagmars account holder. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

Coming Soon!!

In addition to our 24/7 physical security presence, we’re in the process of updating our security camera system and anticipate installation of the new equipment to take place within the next 4-6 weeks. This will allow for better monitoring of the marina with additional camera locations, higher resolution images, and remote operating capabilities. While the new cameras will be a welcome addition to the Marina, they are far from full proof. We ask all of our tenants to join our staff to keep an eye out for suspicious behavior, and promptly report any activity that simply doesn’t look right. Communication within the community is the key to keeping Dagmars as safe as possible, and we appreciate your vigilance.

With our recent cold weather, a reminder about power usage in the stalls…

You are limited to one power cord drawing a maximum of 10 amps of power per stall. Thank you for respecting the needs of your fellow boaters and adhering to these guidelines!

Do you have a boat that is no longer seaworthy, or has reached the point where repairing or restoring is no longer feasible? Here are some links to county and state disposal programs that may be helpful:

We’re pleased to announce that we are on track and have already completed many upgrades including improved security, website overhaul with payment capabilities, and enhanced customer communication capabilities.

Upcoming planned improvements include:

A new loader/forklift for launching and retrieval of boats
Dredging of launch lanes and river dock areas
Updates and renovation of marina office and public facilities
Repair and upgrade of the boat wash area

Dagmars Billing Updates

Effective January 1st, all payments are due by the 1st of each month, with a 5-day grace period. This means that we will be billing on the 15th of the month for the upcoming month.

Effective March 1st, we will be transitioning from a 1.5% finance charge to a $25.00 late fee for any past due accounts. Please call or email us at the office if you have any questions.

1. You can make a one-time debit/credit card payment

– 3% technology fee applies

2. You can sign up for credit/debit recurring payments

– No Fee

Other no fee options:

1. The office can set you up on a recurring ACH payment. We’ll need your full account number and routing number for this. You can call or come in for this option.

2. Pay in person by check or cash.

3. Mail in a check.

4. You can set up a recurring payment through your bank’s bill pay service. (Please call us if you need your new account number.)

For a limited time we are discounting the second level (6,000 lbs. per boat) covered rate for existing customers in uncovered areas, a $40-$60 savings. In other words, for the same price you are paying to be outside, you’ll enjoy all the benefits of covered rack storage. If you are interested, and your boat qualifies, please contact the office. (Sorry not available to existing covered storage customers)

Billing and Payment Changes

We will be incorporating some billing and payment changes beginning March 1st that will affect your account. Please be advised:

Statements will be created and sent on the 15th of the month
Payments will now be due on the 1st of each month
Finance charges for past due accounts will change from 1.5% of balance owed to a flat $25 late fee
